Global Academic Research Institute organized International Conference on Peace and Conflict Management under GARI SUMMER RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM 2017 which is a series of successful research symposium. The Inaugural Session and the Technical Sessions were conducted on 25th August 2017 @ Gall Face Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The conference was empirical, conceptual and methodological papers were received from academics, practitioners and public policy makers were accepted paying austere attention to the academic standards of the papers. To maintain consistency, authors were prescribed to follow the academic writing format of the GARI Publishers.

Special thank goes to an enlightening key note addresses was delivered as well as Chaired by Dr. Maneesha Wanasinghe (Head, Department of International Relations, University of Colombo), Best Paper Awards "Preventive Diplomacy and Conflict Provention as A Model for Mediation of Conflicts in Africa: The Basic Human needs perspective" by Siyabulela Mandela, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU), South Africa. The following day delegates continued to make new friends while enjoying day touring the coastline to see the beautiful scenery and enjoy some of the culture of Sri Lanka.
